Curriculum Vitae

I was born in 1982 and grew up in Chalkida. I was ranked first nationwide in the entrance exams for the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where I also received several academic scholarships during my studies.

My training in Pediatric Surgery took place in Switzerland (at the University Hospitals of Geneva, Jura, and Nyon) and at “Agia Sofia” Children’s Hospital in Athens.

I went on to further specialize in laparoscopic, percutaneous, and minimally invasive pediatric surgery in Geneva, Davos (Switzerland), and at IRCAD in Strasbourg. I also completed advanced training in pediatric gastrointestinal endoscopy (at both “Agia Sofia” Hospital and IRCAD, Strasbourg). During my time at the University Hospital of Geneva, I developed a particular focus on Pediatric Urology, as well as Pediatric Liver and Biliary Surgery.

I hold a PhD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and an MSc in Surgical Anatomy.

My academic work includes participation in research groups, numerous publications in both international and Greek journals, contributions to scientific book chapters, and presentations at conferences worldwide. I serve as a reviewer for international scientific journals and teach First Aid and Pediatric Surgery to undergraduate and postgraduate students.

I am a member of the Scientific Committee and alternate Board member of the Hellenic Scientific Association for Health Literacy, and currently serve as Deputy General Secretary of the Society of Medical Studies.
